Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering

North Carolina State University, Raleigh, U.S. (2017-2021)

I am part of the Precise Irrigation lab. My research project Focus is developing novel techniques to measure soil moisture over intermediate spatial scales using Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technology.

M.Sc. in Civil Engineering

Washington State University, U.S. (2015- 2017)

I participated in two research projects. The first one aimed at studying the water hydrodynamics in large river confluences. In the second project, I simulated the air flow around living snow fences using OpenFOAM with the objective to improve their design guidelines.

Joint M.Sc. in Hydro-informatics and Water Management (EUROAQAUE) (2012- 2014)

My research project was to simulate the density-driven flow of a desalination plant effluents discharged in the Red sea to investigate the resulting environmental hazard. I used the TELEMAC modeling system for that purpose.

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (summa cum laude)

Mansoura University, Egypt (2002-2007)

Concentration on water resources and highway Engineering.
