Research Interests

I am interested in advancing our understanding of the processes that govern the water movement through the air-soil-plant continuum.  Development of novel techniques capable of measuring the different processes over different spatial scales is essential in order to achieve that goal. Currently, I am investigating how to utilize the emerging Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technology  to measure soil moisture content over intermediate spatial scales that range from few centimeters to several kilometers. These novel techniques will provide us with unprecedented datasets that will help in enhancing our knowledge of the water processes that occur  over those spatial scales.
